How I sound trying Italian on vacation...

Fun drive up to Montecatini Alto. Might need to pull Julie's fingernails out of the dash. Roads are pretty thin around here and I like to drive expeditiously. Stopped at the outdoor cafes up top. Beautiful vistas!

My rock lobster ravioli tonight was scrumptious! The rest looked delightful as well. Now maybe going on walkabout to find some decent gelato.

Wow! Pisa! You get off the train and walk a path through shops, cafes, larger restaurants, town squares and then cross the bridge over the Arno River and more vendors, shops, cafes... Then you turn a corner and you see it. So much to see in this area. Come early. Slow your roll and take it all in. Really enjoyed it. This is Part 1.

What am I doing? Not much. Just chilling with beautiful by Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore n Florence, Italy enjoying some chardonnay.

Florence, Italy today. Lots to do in every direction. The museums and cathedrals were fantastic. And of course if you're here and don't see the Statue of David you're doing yourself a disservice. Make the trip. Visit the place and see the stuff. Life is too short to miss out on experiences like this. This is part 1.

I mean how many chances will we get to see an AC Milan game in our life? It had to be done and Julie made it happen.

Part 1 of our visit to Museo del Duomo. So much to see here. Way bigger than I thought it was going to be. The lighting in this place for the statuary was fantastic. Made me wish I brought a better camera. Great place to visit. Enjoy the pics.

I can't accurately explain the awe when you walk out of the subway at Duomo di Milano. It's ornate and massive and when you walk out of the tube it's right there in your face. I've been to a lot of religious temples, churches, and even one of the largest mosques in the world and they're all beautiful but this one will definitely make your jaw drop. Do yourself a favor and come see it. This is part 1.
